DS-160 CEAC Form Correction
If you have any incorrect information in your online non immigrant visa application form (DS-160), after your visa interview with the Consular Officer is completed a green letter may be handed to you, then you must follow the instructions below.

Step 1: Enter the CEAC page: https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/ .This is the home page to apply for a non immigrant visa.

Step 2: Select the country where your application was filled out: Caracas, Venezuela

Step 3: Select option C: "Retrieve Application Using an Application ID" and press the "Retrieve Application" button.

Step 4: Place the digits of your barcode (previously used on your DS160 form, the day of your interview) in the field of Application ID.

Step 5: Answer the security questions.

Step 6: Make the corrections (those indicated by the Consular Officer).

Step 7: Save all the changes and press the button “Sign and Submit Application”. Then, you should see the following message:
“You have successfully signed and submitted your application. You cannot make any changes to your application at this point. Please click ‘Next: Confirmation’ to complete the application process”. -
Step 8: Make sure you click on “Confirmation” and you will see your application completed.

Step 9: Notify the Consular Section that you have corrected your application, please use the form “DS-160 Correction Form.”
Note: To successfully complete the correction process, you must review each section of the form (Complete, Photo, Review, Sign) without skipping any of the pages.
You will know that you have completed the form once the system asks you to enter an electronic signature and you click on the submit button. Then it will show the confirmation page.
You must not continue to this instructions unless you were interviewed by a Consular Officer. If your visa is already printed and needs to be corrected please write to the following email address: consularcaracas@state.gov
The Consular section will receive the correction confirmation and will continue to process your visa. Once the visa has been issued, your passport will be sent back via DHL within 5 to 10 working days.
IMPORTANT: If Confirmation of Correction is not received within 5 working days from the date the letter is issued, your passport will be returned without a visa via DHL and a new letter will be given to you with instructions on how to submit your corrected application.
