The Consular Unit is proud to provide efficient and courteous consular services and facilitate travel to the United States. These activities are top priorities for the U.S. Embassy in Caracas.
Last year, the U.S. Embassy Caracas Visa Unit processed approximately 260,000 nonimmigrant visas and 2,000 immigrant visas, making it possible for Venezuelans from various backgrounds and walks of life to travel to the United States. Most Venezuelan citizens who apply for a visa receive one. With its variety of tourist destinations, diverse cultures, dynamic business environment, and spectacular landscapes, the United States has much to offer visitors.
Please be sure to plan ahead and make your visa interview appointment as soon as possible. Wait times for appointments can be several months. We hope you find the information on this website helpful as you make travel plans.
