As a current or former employee of the Federal Government, you can find general and personal information about retirement benefits and make changes concerning your annuity payment.

The U.S. Embassy/Consulate does not have an OPM office. This means that once we receive your application we will forward it to the proper agency for processing. Please allow OPM at least 3 months to process your application.

If you wish to apply for OPM benefits before you come to the Embassy please contact us so we can request OPM to determine your eligibility for such benefits and a detailed list of the documents to be presented with your application. Please make sure to include in your email: NAME (as it appears on your ID) DATE AND PLACE OF BIRTH, SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER, CONTACT PHONE NUMBERS and COMPLETE ADDRESS.
