Security Notice

Recently, an Embassy staff member entered an establishment in Santa Fe in which an armed robbery was taking place. The staff member was held at gunpoint along with other patrons and was robbed of personal belongings. Although all the victims involved were subjected to a traumatic experience, fortunately, none was physically injured. Local police tell us that a similar incident took place in the Santa Fe area within the last three months. As many of us shop and utilize the service providers in Santa Fe, RSO wanted to bring this incident to everyone's attention and offer several personal security measures to incorporate into your daily routine. Please share these recommendations with all your family members.

-Be alert to what is going on around you.

-Limit the amount of cash and other valuables on your person to that which you might reasonably need and leave the rest in a secure place.

-If confronted with a firearm or other weapon or the threat of physical force, comply with the demands of the aggressor. Your physical well-being is more valuable than any personal belongings.

-Report any suspicious activity to the RSO via Post One.
