K-3 and K-4 Visas

Thank you for your interest in the K3 and K4 visa. Please follow the instructions found below to ensure the prompt processing of your case.

Part One: VERY IMPORTANT!

For an alien to qualify for K3 or K4 visa issuance, the consular officer must receive notification from the National Visa Center. Consular officers are not authorized to accept any secondary evidence of the I-130 petition filing that the applicant may have in his or her possession.

Part Two:

Documents Required for the K3 and K4 Visa:

  • Application for Nonimmigrant Visa, Form DS-156. Only typed responses printed from the preceding link will be accepted. No handwritten resposes will be accepted.
  • Medical Examinations: Consult physicians list: Caracas Physicians or Curacao, Aruba, Winward Islands Physicians forms DS-2053, DS-3024, DS-3025, DS-3026 (Available at Doctor's Office). Medical examinations are only valid for six months.
  • Affidavit of Support, Form I-134 completed by the petitioner

Please prepare this documentation prior to your interview. The medical examination must be performed by one of the physicians on our list. The U.S. Citizen (Petitioner) who submitted the original petition on your behalf should complete the I-134, Affidavit of Support, and submit supporting IRS 1040 and W-2 forms.

Part Three:

In addition to the previous documents, you must also present the following:

  • Certified Birth Certificate original and a copy (original to be returned)
  • Marriage Certificate original and a copy (original to be returned)
  • Passport with at least 6 months validity
  • $100.00 or its equivalent in Bolivar's (cash)
  • 3 photos with white background

Part Four:

After you have prepared your documents and have completed the medical examination (and have the results), please make an appointment for your personal interview by sending an e-mail to immigrantcaracas@state.gov.
