Application for Replacing the Alien Registration Card
(Transportation Letter)

(US Legal Permanent Residents Only)


A Transportation Letter is a letter issued to a US Legal Permanent Resident (a green card holder) who has a lost/stolen/misplaced green card and needs to travel to the United States.

Documents required for a Transportation Letter:

1.     Completed Form I-90 Application Form

2.     Valid passport

3.     Police lost/stolen report

4.     Airline ticket

5.     Proof of alien residence A-number

6.     3 photographs
        Photos are: 3/4 front view showing  the right side of the face with the right ear visible,
        color photo with white background, small size, without earring or glasses.

7.     Processing fee US$300 dollars or the equivalent in Bolivares, CASH ONLY

        NOTE: This permission is only valid for 48 hours, and for one entry to the U.S.

Public hours: Mondays from 9:00AM - 12:00PM or by appointment by e-mailing ImmigrantCaracas@state.gov
